Julie Marie Hansen is currently a Doctoral Researcher at PRIO and the University of Oslo. Her PhD project studies the role of social media in countering sexual and gender-based violence in armed conflict settings, with a focus on Myanmar. 

Hansen is also the coordinator of PRIO's Media Research Group.
