Policy brief

Mortensen, Elin Berstad (2013) Why are Zimbabwean migrants ambivalent about return? Insights from the project 'Possibilities and Realities of Return Migration', PRIO Policy Brief, 1. Oslo: PRIO.

Crisis in Zimbabwe has led to a mass exodus. In the United Kingdom alone, there are now more than 200,000 Zimbabweans. As a result, Zimbabwean migrants in the UK have begun to look to Zimbabwe for new opportunities. When asked about returning to Zimbabwe, however, they give contradictory and ambivalent answers. This policy brief explains why.
