Ana FIlipa is doing a PhD in sociology at Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon and Maastricht University, examining the relationship between emigration and development in Portugal, and the dynamics of transnational ties between rural Portugal and Portuguese emigrants in Belgium. She also has a keen interest in research communication.
At PRIO, she is hosted by the PRIO Migration Centre and will be seated in the shared office in the Nobel Wing together with Nabiiha and Giacomo.
Her arrival also brings the number of Portuguese-speakers at PRIO to al all-time-high of seven!
