I research the impact of disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) programs on peace, with a focus on gender dynamics. Currently, I lead the DISARM project, funded by the Norwegian Research Council, examining how disarmament affects conflict recurrence. I am the co-leader of the Gender Research Group at PRIO.

In 2024/25, I am a Fellow at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) and a member of the Integrated DDR Training Group.
