I research the impact of disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) programs on peace, with a focus on gender dynamics. Currently, I lead the DISARM project, funded by the Norwegian Research Council, examining how disarmament affects conflict recurrence.

I serve as co-leader of the Gender Research Group at PRIO and am a member of the Integrated DDR Training Group. From 2024 to 2026, I am a Non-Resident Fellow at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR).
